Prior to Tulip, Gillian was Chief of Staff at Uptake, an industrial AI company, and earlier advised on diplomacy and strategic partnerships at the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, led initiatives at Chicago Ideas, and began her career as an educator with Teach for America.
